Antique Westinghouse Nikola Tesla Motor Electric Fan

This in an antique electric fan (ca 1899) manufactured by Westinghouse and the only one that has Nikola Tesla’s name with his patent (issued 1891)listed on its motor tag along with a patent by Robert Hassler (issued 1895). There is also a custom made variable transformer set to provide optimal function for this fan. This “Tesla” as it is known to fan collectors, is a beautiful and functional piece of American manufacturing history and currently listed on Ebay. cgi.ebay.com

    early alternating current only had the hot and neutral no ground i suppose you ground any? metal on the fan but as long as the wire is fine you wouldn’t need to do that.
