Bill Heard closes car dealership; 650 locals unemployed

HOUSTON, TX – The nation’s largest Chevrolet dealer, Bill Heard, stopped selling cars Wednesday afternoon, which means bankruptcy may not be far behind. The company closed its dealership in Sugar Land and 11 others around the country. “It would not surprise me if there were shenanigan’s going on. Ultimately I think that is going to be the root of this. GM did not just wake up one day and decide to pull financing on the number one Chevrolet dealer in the United States, said Dan Parsons, Better Business Bureau. Bill Heard has a history of unfair business practices to its customers. Over the years the company has been forced to pay fines in several states, and more legal actions were filed just last week in Georgia. Courtesy www.khou.com (Sep 25, 2008). The recession didn’t cause this. The poor business practices and not? paying their floorplan on time caused this.

good, bill heard and everybody that works for him are criminals. they should all? be in jail. i hope every single one of his dealerships closes down, and all the employees forced to live on the streets.

These car salesmen should all be pushed out of business to work? in mcdonalds. Bastards. If I want to buy a car, I will just buy it off the auction.

Bill Heard went out of bussiness for one reason; they were criminals. When a deal went dry they would take the? trade-in car. When they sold a car at a good price they would go to the owner’s house in the middle of the night and steal it.

all of my life I have bought “American ” made cars and trucks because I thought I was being suportive of my fellow countrymen just like millions of other americans, now all you are doing by buying one of the big three is suporting the comunist union leaders and the polititions they prop up for election. I cant wait for toyota to offer a? full size turbo diesel pickup that will be the last nail in the coffin.

I don’t think Mr. Obama, single-handedly was able to drive the U.S. auto business out of business all by himself, he had help. He had 2 George Bushes, and a Ronald Regan. We have had Congress after Congress, pass laws favoring other auto manufacturers, except ours. We had organized labor crossing their arms on the assembly line as soon as you told them that they had to work differently, or maybe pay into their health benefits for once. Now we have this. Don’t? blame the messenger for the bad news

Sorry, Saturns don’t dent, they’re not made with sheetmetal, they have Rubbermaid panels that bounce back. Then? again, they will be done by 2010. LMAO

Your playing the? “Jap-crap from the 1980′s” card. Yes, I have a real car, it was made in Japan by disciplined workers that have their minds engrained with pride in everything they do, not like the white trash working on the lines here in Michigan, Kentucky, etc. making garbage cars for beer and cig. money. All cars today are made from the same thin sheet metal, rubber, foam and plastic, if you ever saw the inside of a Chevy you know what plastic is. Just that my plastic lasts at least 175k miles

You have a “real car” (I doubt it if is not a GM) until you crash against a bicycle then you got NO CAR! and you will realized how “reliable” your “real car” was.?

Thank you Barack Obama… thank you for forcing the only profitable aspect of the American auto industry out of business. You’ve effectively destroyed the lives of untold numbers of family businesses and the people and communities who rely on them for their livelihoods. Most of the dealers that are being forced out of business are making profits, and their owners and employees are going to end up on the? streets thanks to our new Marxist leader. This is not only unAmerican, it’s criminal.

I can prove they’re racist, after the salesman? at the 2nd Chevy dealer we went to told us we were OK to finance (a Cobalt no less, cheapest car on their lot at the time) we never got a call back from his sales manager, when I called like 3 days later to see what happend, the sales manager said, “Forget about it, GMAC turned you down..” I was like WTF??? For a $15K car? LOL So Toyota Financial said OK but GMAC said no?? Our Yaris cost $15,575, with the power package, the Cobal was about the same.

  20. gman2000 says:

So I went over to a Toyota dealership, the sales manager (who was also hispanic) ran the numbers, I wanted? an ’08 Yaris, he said I can take a Corolla, any one I wanted, with only 2.9% for like 48 or 60 months, I said no, I took the Yaris (at 7.9% but better fuel numbers, slightly) and that was that, I picked up my car 2 days later after it was detailed. THIS IS WHY GM IS GOING BANKRUPT, THEIR DEALERS DON’T KNOW HOW TO SELL and are racist. Who cares, I have a real car anyway… T O Y O T A!

  21. gman2000 says:

LOL! Above and beyond the fact that GM, Ford and esp. Chrysler quality is subpar to the asians… have you ever walked into a GM dealership with not-so-great clothes? From the 2 times I went into a GM dealership (both Chevys to be exact) I was basically? “chased out” because it looked like I didn’t have any money, or a bad credit rating – though I am not the richest person in the world, my credit is almost a 700. They don’t sell to dark haired people with hispanic last names, bottom line.

  22. dcprotests says:

Good riddance! I’m sick of these? car makers.

  23. harley1450000 says:

    he? should be in jail

  24. Jsetmefree says:

I used to work for an insurance company and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that Bill Heard (in Nashville) was as crooked as the day is long! They would constantly lie to the ins co and it eventually led to our cutting all ties with them. The autos that were repaired at Bill Heard ALL had shoddy repairs. They would trump up estimates and only do half? of what they listed on the estimate. Pathetic.
