i bought a used pt touring with 147,000 k´s here in finland 2 years ago and never looked back. it starts well in all weather even -35 celsius. studded tires keep it on the road nicely too. my euro (built in austria) pt only has 2.0 automatic so it lags but on the upside i think it eats less gas & the little motor heats up quick and that´s? a plus up here at the northpole. i like the retro styling too inside & out + options eg 4 disc brakes, ac, cruise.. my collie likes it too.. lots of room!

Thank You! yes the PT Cruiser is actually a very popular car and I would recommend it but be sure it’s a Model before 2005-2006 as Chrysler got a bit lazy with the Newer Models.

it actually gets around 25mpg city and roughly 27mpg highway

it does 0-60 in about 7.5 seconds n/a and? I’ve seen the Turbo Model do 0-60 in a little over 6 seconds
not to mention how well it handles (but that’s largely due to the Front Wheel drive)

please no!!!!! don’t buy a pt? cruiser.

This is the worst fucking review ever. Everything he said about the car is the exact oppisite of what a PT Cruiser owner has told me. Im thinking about buying my neighbors, and she says it? has good gas mileage, alot of room, and more. And i see a bunch of people driving this car.

Ok. I will just deal with it then. My dad just got an old one and all I’m hoping is that it won’t break down on me during very important times such as appointments and school.?

Another small car I wish they still made is the Suzuki Aerio; I had a hatchback one with AWD, and it was a good car & great value; I bought a loaded ’06 model for $15K – other dealers wouldn’t sell me an inferior AWD Pontiac Vibe, STRIPPED for $17K, so there was no contest there. It seemed every bit as refined as it’s more expensive competition, though it was not as comfortable as, say a Subaru Forester. As a pure value car, it was efficient, reliable, and hard to beat.?

That said, I will admit the powertrain, though powerful enough could be stand and update, and fuel economy could always be better – but we? could say that about just about any car. I appreciate the effort in putting this review together, but I don’t agree with your opinion of the little Chrysler.

Oh, and for the record, I think the ‘Cruiser is an enjoyable car to drive; it feels solid, planted, and well balanced, and steering is just heavy enough, without? that completely lifeless feel common in modern autos. It also rides well for what it is, and is more refined and comfortable than many other ‘cheap cars’ like the overpriced Toyota Matrix/Pontiac Vibe – those two are good cars, but trail the PT Cruiser overall in my opinion.

I wish? they would revamp this car with a new powertrain (something like the 2.5l I4 with CVT from Nissan’s excellent Altima for instance) and maybe do some other small updates; AWD would be a nice feature too, as few cars in it’s class offer it. It would also be nice if they would build here in the states vs. Mexico, although the Mexicans seem to build pretty reliable cars (like the Ford Fusion). It would be nice to see this car come back and be competitive and popular again :-)

I can’t say I agree with the bent of this video. I think the PT Cruiser is one of the better small hatchbacks out there; it’s also stylish and sold very well for Chrysler while it was being made. It offers a lot of features other cars don’t, and is an impressive vehicle for being based on the Neon. It feels solid and refined for a small car, and it’s versatile interior is much more clever than that of most competitors. It is a better car, and superior value, than the? Toyota Matrix in my opinion.

In 2010 I bought an Electric Blue 2003 PT GT Turbo 5-speed, 215hp? 245tq, 23 city 30hwy and 0-60 in under 7 seconds, all this for $5900! I needed a small, fairly economical minivan or station wagon and wanted something fairly fun to drive. With better suspension than the regular one it handles incredibly well for what it is and is a lot quicker than most would expect. It has the same engine as the SRT-4 Neon and has lots of options to make it faster. Insurance is cheap too! Drive the GT!!

I bought a new 2010 model 180 miles for 15500 out the door. It can? hall a lot of stuff and since it’s not a desireable car I don’t have to worry about it getting stolen!

  13. DJTEVAdotCOM says:

its just a poorly? design car but its cheap.

  14. helpAmerica1 says:

HUM so how do I get 66KM with a? cost of $4.98 fuel at $1.19 per leter ? 2001 model

  15. stangtrax says:

I got my 2008 Pt base model brand new with only 19 miles 2 years ago for $12,800. My mpg is 19-20. But for the cheap car price that is a lot better than a $30,000 getting 40 mpg. Do the? math.

  16. Trancekam says:

damn; bashing the pt cruiser.. dont think its? as bad as he claims it is

  17. uncoverbrother says:
